Anderson Chamber hosts rural development discussion
The Anderson County Chamber of Commerce hosted the Tennessee Department of Economic and Community Development for a Rural Development Discussion on May 1 at the Clinton Community Center. Representatives from 15 counties participated.
Tennessee ECD Rural Development Director Dan Hawk and representatives facilitated a guided discussion about the Governor’s Jobs4TN Plan and Rural Economic Development Initiatives in Tennessee and the role of the Three Star program past and future.
The Anderson County Chamber of Commerce has certified Anderson County as a Three Star Community since 2002, achieving the highest level of certification, which has entitled the County special incentives for economic development.
Also in attendance was Allen Borden, statewide director for the Tennessee Department of Economic and Community Development, Ramay Winchester, Retire Tennessee Program Manager, Kimberly Nyberg, Tennessee Main Street Program Manager, Terry Bobrowski, East Tennessee Development District Executive Director, Allen Neel, ETEDA President & CEO and Gary Human, ECD Jobs Development Specialist.
